Agreed. Can't sleep on the Coogies. Gym will be dead and they have the athleticism and streaky shooter in Stiggers to beat us if we play half [deleted]. Win it to make GameDay really special!!

1980 & 1982 in Austin. I was in the UT student section in '82.

A very good road win. I o think we were far more athletic than Tulsa and I never really worried about this game. Still, laying an egg against Cincy is killer. We do have a chance to control our destiny but once again we just have to win.

1980 & 1982 in Austin. I was in the UT student section in '82.

I was with the SMU crowd for both games. We weren't ranked at the time of the UT game in 80. In '82 we were ranked and according to the DMN there were 10K SMU fans in Memorial Stadium. I remember that at the time it may have been the biggest crowd to see a game there. They set up temporary stands in the south end zone.

Btw, I think UT in '80 & '82 and SMU in '82 were all ranked Top 10.

I do recall that the UT '80 team & the '82 SMU team were both undefeated....well, until the 'Pitch', then it was only SMU

Texas was No. 2 on the day we beat them in 1980. My memory may be hazy, but I think No. 1 lost either that week or the week after that.

I think your right about that & I think we were ranked in Top 5 in '82, maybe 3rd or 4th. UT in '82 not so sure about them being Top 10.
