What is 'holier than thou'? The kid has a documented history of issues, and a mere days after he is given a second/third chance, he is in trouble again. Uninformed? The only thing in question here is whether he actually made the AK-47 threat. The FACT that he was in a fight at a bar at 3 am and "kicked and tried to swing at officers as they removed him from the vehicle. They said he resisted getting into a patrol vehicle and struggled with staff at central booking." It's probably all lies and police brutality right?

Oh, yeah yeah, you're right, sorry. Must forgive Chad, get him into rehab, give him a third chance....and then a fourth, he's just a kid (and Jim's nephew)

I'll put it this way... most on this board would have been as excited as a guy at a supermodel orgy if Kelly had wanted to come to SMU... but, since he didn't, it's just fine to jump to conclusions without even attempting to know what actually happened because, you know, it's just the SEC lowering their standards to win. I'll also point out that everyone's mid-major hero Jeff Bower from Southern Miss never seemed to get any criticism for his recruiting... he signed a guy that had served time for murder and got a pass because it didn't fit the narrative of "hardworking David the Giant Killer" that everyone stupidly applied to that program... the reality was that most of his players were partial qualifiers and guys with criminal records.

Uhhhh, you really want to pick on those pointing out the obvious when it comes to this kid? Absent FSU, you really want someone with a solid core and good decision making skills as your QB. IF he can't find his way out of trouble at 3 am, what makes you think he will keep his head at noon on Saturday when the crap starts hitting the fan? You know anyone looking at this kid had to sit him down and let him know the lay of the land....meaning a nice meeting where he was told "to not do any of those things he used to think were smart or cool or a great idea." Instead, the 2nd chance train sailed when he put himself in that position.
I love ripping on Football Dad...it truly does entertain me. He says things that are begging for a response. Here, he did nothing of the sort. Don't get so bent out of shape because someone made fun of OlMiss then someone else said their future savior is a soup sandwich. It's ok...life will go on.

Ol miss should be able to compete in the SEC without having to stoop to this level. I know the school is not known for its rocket scientist, but this guy appears to eclipse even that low bar.
Most people i know who went to Ol Miss are fun and pretty cool laid back types. This guy just seems like a tool.

Please share what convicted murderer played at USM. I'm surprised one would be released from prison at a young enough age where he could still play college football. As to the SEC somehow being paragons of virtue, try selling that elsewhere.

It's not holier than thou to point out someone is being an idiot, and may do more harm than good.
