If they're still here when we start winning more regularly, will you also go up to them then and congratulate them?

SMU will not start winning more regularly until these clowns are gone.

Yeah, that would help.

Come on, people, it's GAME DAY! It's Homecoming. We have a damn good chance to win a game today -- how about a little enthusiasm, huh? Stop worrying about next year, or about Copeland and Turner, or about whether the Houston game will be on CSTV in a couple of weeks. Today is about BEATING THE OWLS.

Go Mustangs!

Oh, I give a damn about 'Game Day'...today and for the rest of SMU's future. Today of ALL days should be the day that each of us should give Turner & Copeland a piece of our mind because it's HOMECOMING! What better day than this to let 'em know how fed up & disgusted we are with the state of SMU's football program!

Yes, BEAT RICE!

We all have a right to our opinions, MM65, and I respect your right to have your own. To me, however, today is not about anyone who wears a coat and tie and pulls a salary -- once it's game day, they are unimportant. To me, today is about:

• DeMyron Martin running for 125-plus yards and getting back into the end zone.

• The Mustangs' front seven trying to contain a Rice offense that had significant success last week against a pretty solid UTEP team and has had way too much success against us in recent years.

• Jerad Romo hitting Bobby Chase, Ryan Kennedy and the rest of the receivers in the suspect Rice secondary.

• Chris McMurtray hitting them long and straight, just like I don't hit them on the golf course.

• Jessie Henderson and Blake Warren ripping up the Rice special teams.

• Martin Guidry keeping Rice DE Jon Syptak out of the SMU backfield.

• No SMU turnovers.

• A post-game debate over where to celebrate the Mustangs' victory!

Ikus: I'll be in Ford Stadium supporting and cheering on the Mustangs just as I have at every home game this year.

However, it's time for SMU's football fans to 'make a statement' to anyone who wears a coat and tie and pulls a salary because, frankly, I'm sick and tired of them yanking our chains with all this crap about '5 or 6 wins'!

I remember when 5-6 wins would get you fired. Still does at schools that want to win.

Are you kiddin' me, HtoL? You, of all people, have been the most vocal on this board about the state of SMU's football program! Are you willing to continue to put up with this crap?
