Seven Nation ArmyModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Seven Nation ArmyHahahaha multiple people complaining its too loud at a college athletics event. Must be some fans who for years enjoyed the mausoleum atmosphere and easy exit and parking. Thats just so SMU.
Re: Seven Nation ArmyIt might have been YM and Sterling texting from the bench since they were having trouble hearing the screen calls.

Re: Seven Nation Army
good one
Re: Seven Nation Army
in the upper sections - upper rows the speakers are right there. You can't hear the music down low as much. since it's a new system they should be able to control sets of speakers.
Re: Seven Nation Army
That's it. Those of us closer to the speakers are getting pounded. Need to figure out how to pipe the music more evenly. That's all. Pony up!
Re: Seven Nation ArmySounds like a marketing ploy to get you to buy the more expensive tickets down lower.

Re: Seven Nation ArmyIt's called a home court advantage. Whenever someone contacts Game Assist to complain about the noise, an auto reply with this should be sent:
“They have balance,†UConn coach Kevin Ollie said. “Every loose ball, every fast break, I mean look at the stat sheet. They beat us in every category. When the crowd got going, we just fell apart.†And this is a great marketing opportunity for SMU...hand out earplugs at games. Everyone nationally talks about the atmosphere at Moody. We need to capitalize on that, not run away from it. /No Hate. Just Facts. Occasional sarcasm.
Re: Seven Nation ArmyBrand them. Give them away for free in the fan store. Drive more foot traffic in to the store.
Re: Seven Nation Armyanyone remember Reunion Arena in the early days when the Mavs finally became a playoff contender? It became a badge of honor to see how high the fans could raise the decibel level in that place. I remember leaving games thinking I had been to a rock concert and sat in front of the speakers...ears ringing and thinking "now that's what I call a home court advantage". Like former Baylor coach Jim Haller used to say about Moody "It's one of the great holler houses in Texas"
Re: Seven Nation ArmyWhat? Did you say something?
Re: Seven Nation ArmyThe impromptu Seven Nation Army in the second half was about the best of all of the great crowd stuff that has happened in New Moody. True Home Court Advantage.
Re: Seven Nation ArmyDon't have anything against the band but they do seem to kill the mood from what I can tell on TV. The band can complement but man it sounds like it drains from the energy on too many occasions.
Re: Seven Nation Army
Never went to Mav games but definitely remember all the Stars playoff games from there. Last night was the first night since going to those Reunion days where I literally had to wait until the next break to try and talk to the person next to me because neither of us could the other. ![]()
Re: Seven Nation Army
That is my impression as well and while I realize this is not an NBA event, I would tilt the presentation more Mav-like including better dance routines by our Pom-Pom girls (not the cheerleaders).
Re: Seven Nation ArmyWe have a world renown dance department and a school full of hot chicks.
Just seems a no-brainer to me.
