A really good first quarter. One of the things I like so far is that we are dominating a team we sould dominate. In the past when we play weak teams we have found a way to play down to their level.

O.K. how about a 93 yd drive to eat up most of this quarter and take a 20-zip lead?

There is a good chance that U will get your wish. Nice drive so far and that facemask sure helped take off some yards. 20-0 would be a nice half time led but I would like more. I would like a lazy second half were we can play some younger players for a little experience.

That was pure luck. A blown blocking scheme turns into a TD. That is a nice athletic effort by Romo. Otherwise, it si a loss and we are looking ata field goal. Thank goodness it wass Romo against Rice and not Romo against A$M

That is exadtly the problem I worry about against Rice. We give up a ot of passing yards against Rice for some reason. Pure luck that we got a penalty on that play.

Stopping Rice at the one yard line inthe 3rd Qrt is big time defense.

Another 4th down stop in the red zone

SMU stopped Rice again inside the 20 on a fourth down. The D is for real.

Martin scores! I like how he always falls foward when finishing runs. He's easily over 150 yds. w/ most of the 4th qtr. to go. 27-0

Martin has a career high 162 yds and a 7 yd per carry average today. Now this is what a homecoming game is supposed to be like.

Does anyone else cringe like I do when we're running the option offense inside the opponents 5-yd. line?
