Would somebody please post the number to Copeland's office please?

I was escorted out of the game for asking the Rice tuba player to lay his tuba down so I could see the game. No profanities. No insults. That is all I said. I am filing a complaint against the 4 officers that told me to leave.

While I am on a rant, I will never attend another SMU sporting event again. As long as I live. I love my alma mater. I have not missed a game in years, football or basketball. I will never attend another one. At least not until Jim Copeland himself calls me and offers an apology.

And more, nothing against Cash Birdwell, but we will honor his initials in the stadium but not our National Championship team. Please.

Somebody help me out.

I am done with this school.

Sorry to hear that this happened to you. Why exactly is it Copeland's fault? Was he there to throw you out? Did he give the orders to remove you?

I hope there is more to it because that is awful if someone in the rice band said you were bothering them or something like that.

Hey captain maturity - why didn't you just move to a spot wher you could see. And don't tell me there were no options.

Geez, get a life.

Better yet -shell out some dough to the mustang club and get season tickets - then you won't be behind the visiting band.

I never said I blame Copeland. I just want him to know how the fans are treated.

There were several others in attendance with me that can verify what was said. Nothing absurd was said.

There is also no reason to question how much money I give to back to the school.

Educate me, with all the empty seats in the SMU sections of the stadium, why were you sitting behind the Rice Band?

So...you simply said.."Excuse me sir, would you please lower your tuba so I can see the game, thanks.." and, they threw you out......hmmmmm, sounds like you are not telling us the FULL story, now come on sparky, what REALLY happen?? You made a COMPLETE ARSE out of yourself, didn't you??? Also, with ONLY 11,357 people at the game, you could not check your brain into gear and find a better seat?? Did you get in Turner & Copeland's face during pre-game with Mr. Mustang569, and they were tired of your act?? Long Live Mike Randle.

I KNOW you don't.

My lady friend had to walk a mile and half to the Cotton Bowl from the back parking lot in flip flops because you wanted to take up half of the Cotton Bowl parking lot for some stupid fireworks for Cavan's first game there. About 400 yards of it was on railroad gauge gravel, because YOU AKA Copeland didn't arrange for tram service from the back parking lot at
Fair Park.

Bet you never knew, and still don't know there was a Jimmy Buffet concert there the same night.

Logistics mistake #1 of many for you. I may do a Letterman's top 10 of them when I get the time. As Trump would say, if that happened to him, YOU'RE FIRED :!:

I imagine the Rice MOB gets crap wherever they go, so if you are being even slightly rude or abrasive, I doubt they hesitate to get stadium security.

That said, THERE WERE 20,000 OPEN SEATS, moving 5 ft to either side of your seat probably would have put you in perfect view of the entire field. Sounds like you just HAD to make your point, and ended up getting thrown out for it. USMC Drill Sgts rarely swear anymore, but they can be pretty intimidating, so saying you didn't use profanity doesn't mean you weren't being a jerk.

PLEASE, even for a second, don't think that this REALLY HAPPENED. I'm Copeland's worst (MAYBE) critic per my posts..........but

PlanoStang,
I think I'm reading you correctly. I agree, the guy had to have been a jerk to be removed from the stadium. I was pointing out his flaw in saying "i used no profanity," cussing isn't the only way to be a jerk.
