Question - is there a place that most SMU fans go after the games? We have gone to Campisi's on Mockingbird quite a few times after games, and there are usually quite a few other fans there, but is there another spot we are missing out on? Just curious......
Good job today ponies!

Yeah... Frog Ally. Seriously, though, there were about 10-25 SMU fans at the TCU game dressed in full SMU gear. They held up a banner throughout the game that said "SMU + CSU = TCU."
Cute.

...its just too bad that TCU had the first undefeated regular season- in what- its history? -ruined by poor ole SMU. Congrats on your MWC Championship though.

Thanks for the compliment, Stallion! However, we have more undefeated regular seasons, national championships, and bowls than you, unfortunately (all, in which, without cheating):
• 1920 (Also, SWC Champs)
• 1929 (Also, SWC Champs)
• 1935 (Also, National Champs and SWC Champs)
• 1939 (Also, SWC Champs)
• 1938 (Also, National Champs and SWC Champs)
... etc

Correction! The banner held up the the TCU v. CSU game read, "SMU + CSU = broken hearted TCU." "TCU" was painted inside a broken heart. Unfortunately, CSU just didn't do their part tonight to make that a reality.

I'm sorry, I'm not giving TCU that 1935 NC.

Sally - why not? Also, Mustangs, I correct myself. You guys have won more National Championships than we have. Sorry about my incorrect facts in that area.

Some notes here:
• TCU did not join the SWC until 1923, so I fail to see how they could have won the 1920 SWC Championship.
• TCU did not go undefeated in the 1935 regular season. They lost to SMU that year, and SMU won the SWC Championship, not TCU. Recognized national champions of the 1935 season are SMU, Princeton, and Minnesota. If you want to go by which teams have been declared national champions by any ratings system, SMU has 4 (1923, 1935, 1981, 1982) to TCU's 3 (1932, 1935, 1938).
• Texas A&M was the 1939 SWC Champion. TCU went 3-7 that year. I think you meant 1929.
• I'm not sure about undefeated regular season (who tracks that anyway?), but SMU has 5 undefeated seasons to TCU's 3.
TCU: 1929, 1932, 1938
SMU: 1923, 1926, 1929, 1947, 1982
• The Iron Skillet is having a great time at SMU and promises to write soon.

Good stuff, SmooPower!
Is there truth to the story that Coach Bennett has set up a display spot in the locker room for the Skillet, so the players can see it every day when we have it and see the empty place there when we lose it? I think that's a great idea, and will serve as an inspiration to keep it, and to get it back when it gets sidetracked to Fort Worth.

I read about the others in the SMU FB MG, but who recognizes our 1923 championship? I can't find it online...
