Don't take the emotion from this team. I love the fire and intensity. Frankly, I think they were feeding off the crowd. We were fired up. They were fired up. UCONN was intimidated AF. Coach Ollie needs a Valentine.

When was the last time the opponents fans com;aimed about he environment at Ford? I see this as a good sign. It means our fans are into it and it intimidates the opponents fans and team. We have a real home advantage for the once. Love it while it last.

we are going to see a LOT more of that in the next two weeks. The other teams can win if he gets tossed or gets in foul trouble - and they are going to bait him in every game going forward.

 At the Tulane game the frustration kept mounting for these older Tulane fans sitting in front of us. This one Tulane player who shot something like 2 for ten on his free throws kept getting fouled and i kept saying " oh good, it's the guy who can't hit free throws again. "

I finally got to him and he made some remark ( without turning around) about the kid at least being eligible.
At the end of the game i made sure our eyes met and i offered him a hug.

Same deal.

And that has been one of Nic's best areas of improvement. He rarely takes the bait but seems to be able to channel it into better play. We need "Cal" Nic from here on out.
