Re: Mike CavanGo ahead and MARK it down Ponyboy
You appear to think that Morris will be like all the rest I'll MARK that down "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Mike Cavan
I didn't create it to throw him under the bus, I was a freshman in 2001 and knew nothing of Cavan's past until I looked it up, and found it quite shocking. And as for LB and Morris, there is very little LB could do to be seen negatively at this point. Morris, however, the jury is still out. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Mike Cavan
You are a trip pb.
Re: Mike CavanTo be fair: I do not think Cavan was lazy or tried to fail. He just wasn't a good hire.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: Mike Cavan
Just make sure you know what you're marking down and aren't creating your usual straw men. I'm saying that there will be posters on this board who in the future will be hating on Chad Morris and Larry Brown. Just like the originator of this thread is hating on Cavan. That is my one and only point. I think Morris, like LB, will absolutely blow the doors off here at SMU. Couldn't be more excited in our head coach.

Define "hating on"

reputation for developing great d1aa qbs.
Re: Mike CavanMike Cavan has the best conference winning percentage of all SMU Coaches since DP:
Mike Cavan 18-19 49% June Jones 26-30 46% yeah and I assigned this years losses to June who quit on his team-screw him "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Re: Mike CavanCavan was poised for success until SMU self flagellation. Hoping we've got a more aggressive approach in 2015.
