Well, after they basically benched him and played around him causing him to ask permission to leave, but yeah technically he told him he would play more if he stayed.

Did a Google search to see the date of LB's hire and this thread popped up. Fun to see the comments when the possibility of LB to SMU got out.

How many NCAA tourney games have we won since LB has been here?

Other than tons of free publicity and higher attendance at Moody (which is temporary and gone the second he leaves), what has he REALLY done?? I mean, REALLY think about that for a second. Other than Keeeith, who was a disaster, how many 5 stars have we landed since he's been here? There's still definitely a chance that the naysayers will be proven to be correct in the end!!

Don't forget his class... He (use to - pre new rules for mob) get coffee and doughnuts for students in line for tickets... I've met him, and he really cares about his kids and staff.

I believe he cares about his players, but understand he's a freaking wolf w/old guy smell. He'll back up over any fool that gets in the way of his goals.

I got on here today and say a 9 page thread titled "Larry Brown" dated March 30th and my heart sank. Didn't see it was from 2012, thought LB announced his retirement or something today.
