Their RPI is still at 31 for the moment. For the time being, I think they're ok.

I see it as more of a good win for Tulsa than a bad loss for Temple.

Did you watch the game. Tulsa looked bad and Temple was worse. Temple scored 17 points in the second half. They. went something like 11 minutes scoring only 4 points. Tulsa won shooting 38% for the game. I would say it was an ugly loss for Temple. I thought Temple would win based on their play at Moody, their second half was painful to watch.

Wow, I thought Temple was supposed to be good. This confirms that there are no good teams in conference other than us.

I did watch it. If you're looking solely at RPI and records, Temple's loss to Tulsa was not that bad. I'm not exactly sure how much weight, if any, is given to the actual scores by the NCAA committee. Edit: I was using live-rpi.com's numbers which had both teams in the 30s; it looks like Ken Pom has both teams much lower which could, in fact, make Tulsa more of a "bad loss."

Our win at Tulsa was huge. We have to take advantage of it and win at least one road game and protect Moody. Tulsa isn't going to be a roll over in their house and Cincy has proven they can lose to just about anyone but us.

Well, that result surprised the heck out of me. The other thing that surprised me was the number of empty seats at the game (at least that's how it looked on TV). I thought the community up there was more behind them than that. Perhaps its already been mentioned in this thread, but I didn't feel like wading through 5 pages of posts to see.

I thought the same thing, they did say it was really bad weather there and that it was snowing, but...

Totally an ugly game. Neither team played well, no enthusiasm from the crowd and a huge number of glaringly empty seats. Not sure what you can take away from this game other than Temple appeared very down possibly from their loss to the Ponies and the impact it had on their season and NCAA aspirations.

Sorry, my post wasn't an attack on you - it was an attack on the bad basketball I watched between those two teams. My comments were eye test comments. Your point is well taken. PS: Again, I love your avatar. Pure.

To be fair, I think most of the empty seats were behind the Temple bench. I think the rest of the gym was filled - it caught my eye as well, but Temple had no one and Tulsa didn't fill in that section like we do, as far as I can tell.

Just curious. . . What is Temple's gym like on gameday? Do they have a strong following and good crowds? I know nothing about Temple beyond the fact that Cheney was coach there forever and Bill Cosby likes them.
