Typical 1310 the Ticket omission

Postby jimhagle » Fri Feb 27, 2015 6:49 am

Just listened to the Tickets' lengthy sports rap at 5:30 and not one mention of our big win last night. Their slighting of us never ceases.

Which is why Rich should only give American and Top 25 scores in the postgame.

Seriously? They didn't even give our score when we are Top 25? That's just bs.

I heard the same ticker. We did get a little "love" (score) on WBAP. The Ticket came back with the score on subsequent tickers. Sound bites from hockey players and Mavs nightly drama, bundled with hearsay reports from happenings at a Lancaster, Texas Walmart, are just not interesting. It could have really been a cluster f if Jody had shown up this morning after his swan song with the commuter school last night.

KRLD talked about SMU's win, comming oh so close to the tournament last year and about our great record this year. They had all positive things to say this morning.

We should have them broadcast our games. Maybe that would help. Not sure how long the schools agreement is with 770.

We made one of the later lickers. I heard it on the way to taking my son to school.

No score on the ticker at about 9 am either.

But they did talk a lot about the 14-13 UNT Basketball game.

and the current ticker guy was the sideline reporter for SMU football through our last bowl season.

of course, he's no Rich.

Still you'd think with one-half of the morning show being a season ticket holder, it'd carry some weight.

Heard we are a 'lock' on the 9:45 ticker. Once we are officially in, we will certainly be DFW's media darling.
