Stop playing the victim. So we aren't mentioned on EVERY Ticket ticker. Who cares?
The DMN actually covers us now and some of the TV stations in town are pretty SMU friendly. We also get a decent amount of national pub now. as well

KTCK kissed my butt when I owned the bar downtown; they took me to all of their marketing presentations and inside sales pitches and gave me tours of the studio - I even got to sit in on BaD radio for a segmentZ It's a joke. They mentioned my place on air once a week 'randomly' while I was being courted. Then when I said no for the tenth time, they mysteriously forgot I existed. If SMU starts buying a ton of ad time we will be their little buddy again and get to sit at the back of the bus with the cool kids.

Very seldom listen to the ticket myself more of an ESPN 103.3 FM person but I really should remember to tune into 105.3 The Fan. Aren't they number 1 in the market?

The Fan is beating the Ticket in a few slots now.

Those numbers are skewed by Cowboys and Playoffs numbers I think. The way they record listening numbers is kinda wacky. Saw it on Barry Horn's column.

Read the same thing but they aren't as dominant as they were.

The Fan is now more juvenile than the Ticket. Nothing but twenty-something show hosts' stories about their lives with a Mavs/Cowboys comment or two.

I enjoy the Afternoon Show on ESPN when The Hardline is talking music or Corby just gets to be too much. The Fan has not impressed me at all the few times I've flipped over there, especially whoever they have on in the mornings.

North Texas radio is 88.1 ...
I think that is where most of the ticket people come from. So.. Not hard to believe they talk about [deleted] and not much about sports.

Wish SMU games were on a different channel.

Ian Fitzsimmons just flat out sucks on ESPN Dallas. Total local blowhard. He had some ESPN "big-time" national reporter on yesterday
who supposedly obtained the police report on the Dez Lancaster Walmart non-"story"...
He never asked him what was in the report only asked how this will all effect Dez.
Repeat, never even once asked what was in the report. Of course, there was absolutely nothing in the report. Then, they replayed the stupid interview the
rest of the afternoon.
Most of the these so called sports journalists suck, especially the national ones.

I like the Hardline boys, they don't pretend to be know-it-alls, they make me laugh, and they will talk sports if it is really important.
Beat the hell out of anybody!

Esquire magazine beats the Hardline for guy talk any day. Save your time and read the Observer blogs of you want to know more than the hardline.

Corby was saying how good of a hire SMU made w/ Morris two nights ago. We also got love at the ticker for last night's W around 7:50 when I was pulling into work. The UNT hoops love tho was [deleted] stupid

Win. Finish the season with nothing but wins and go deep in the NCAA and next year thongs change. The media is only concerned with ratings. Winning generates ratings. So just win.
