Apparently we've got half a million to throw at JMU to come and play us for homecoming.

First off, a huge chunk of the people with disposable income in Dallas are foreign yankee imports. As sad as it is, and isay this as someone who occasionally wears cowboy boots with a suit, the native Texan thing does not sell as well here as it does in FW.

Second, speaking of FW, TCU already had the native Texan angle covered.

Third, this is a one-off special helmet for publicity, not a permanent uniform change. Nobody is going to become a fan because we had a one time special helmet with a Texas flash instead of a US flag. It is to get publicity for recruiting. We will get on ESPN with people talking about it. Mission accomplished

Nice job by the coaching staff. I like the multiple uniform concept. Something for everyone. It seems that we have coach that is willing to move us forward in all areas like technology, uniforms, social media, etc. And the recruits are really responding to it well. Keep up the good work Coach Morris.

So glad you pointed it out...I missed those posts where many were hoping we keep losing. At least you got the average attendance figures right there...or, were you just adding up 2 or 3 home games?

im confused. which one of these suggestions embraces a small ivy league vision? If you are ferreting to the texas flag pony - you are 100% wrong. Embracing Texas is what is going to help us expand our brand to the rest of the metroplex. THe hockey playing transplants aren't going to come see our games no matter what we do.
