3 star recruit QB Marcus Johnson from Cisco JC 6-1, 175 4.4. Originally signed with OU out of HS out of Abilene. Offered by SMU and also lists interest in A&M, Tech and Baylor. No story yet but I wouldn't be surprised to see one in the next few days since this a new post to the Database. In 2005 he has been 110-207 1,591 12 TDs 10 Ints. I'll post some more about his stats out of High School later.

Johnson was a National 4 star recruit out of Abilene and was offered by OU, Alabama, Purdue, Texas A&M and UT among others. Rated the 19th best player in Texas and rated as 7th best athlete Nationally. Saw some quotes out of high school suggesting many wanted to switch him to WR but that he wanted to stay at QB-that may be our advantage. He's not a bad student and was fully qualified at about 980 SAT and 3.0 GPA. One of 5 Finalist for 5A Player of the Year by Texas Football -the others except Southlake QB Chase Wasson were National Gold Chips. He was named by Rivals affiliate TexasPrep Xtra as the West Texas MVP. As a Junior had 1,713 yards passing, 853 running with 14 Passing TDs and 10 Running TDs. As a Senior was 178-260 2933 yards Passing 21 TDs only 6 INTs and 316 yards rushing on 110 carries.

My source says that we are in on a 4 star JC from Dodge City and two other JC quarterbacks. I was hesitant to post this before someone else aired it out.

Omar Haugabook was pretty heavily recruited out of HS. Had offers from ECU and Mississippi State and maybe others. It appears he may have been recruited heavily as a athlete. He might be at Juco because he wanted to pay QB or maybe grades. Dunno.

I think a bigger need is JUCO linebackers. We probably need to sign four, and at least two (preferably three) should be JUCOs.

How about some JUCO fans also to fill Ford Stadium? Or we could just clone Eddie P. and put the clones throughout the stadium for fan attendance.
