The teams with winning records stat is nearly close to meaningless. For comparison's sake, find a few other mid majors with a similar record as ours over the JJ era and compare. You may be very surprised.

Well I mean techincally it IS progress..the problem is that it leveled off there and everyone was okay with sending him a 2mil paycheck for beating up Memphis when they were a cellar dweller of CUSA. June Jones was a great hire at the time but he wore out his welcome after 2011.

Bottom line is that the overwhelming majority of JJ's wins came against bad teams. And JJ even said the he had more help than any coach since the DP and that the other coaches really did not have a chance. So he should have done better so what Ponyboy is saying in defending JJ is meaningless.
