Frank Haith

Overall the AAC has some really good coaches. I have found Frank Haith to be really level headed and when I do some quotes out of him (can never seem to find a press conference) he is complimentary of the other team (SMU or not). I think he and Tulsa are a really nice addition to the conference.

He's the real deal. Liked him at Mizzou. Can't remember the exact reason he left, but now Mizzou is awful, and made the WSJ for having fewer wins then their football team.

Very impressive coach. We should keep our eye on him for down the road.

Said the same thing at the game yesterday. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy.

He won his first year at Missouri with Mike Anderson recruits, and left before playing out this year. Now he is playing with Danny Manning and the prior coach's recruits. Do love him too much yet. Need to see how he does after a few years in one spot.

Am gratified that some of the smarter observers share my thoughts about Coach Haith.

He left Mizzou as they were about to fire him. Text messaged the Mizzou AD that he was leaving. The knock on him is whether or not he can win with his own players

He seems to have June Jonesed Mizzou, but he left before the downturn hit hard

He was a very close finalist when Dement got the job.

You may be right on that...I just remember that he was really in our mix when he was an assistant at Texas, whenever that was.

Good coach. Outcoached by LB twice this year though IMHO.

I believe like their top 7 players are all junior or something like that. He'll be good again next year and they will be mediocre for the rest of Frank Haith's time there...he left Missouri because he was probably going to get fired.

You can bet if TU's juniors stay and do well next year that Haith will get poached back to some P5 school just like a few other coaches you might recognize - Nolan Richardson, Tubby Smith, Bill Self...and Danny Manning, of course.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
