It did seem odd... esp what the game meant for the number of AAC teams in the tourny.

Those refs were terrible. Absolutely terrible.

It was more incompetence than bias though.
Texas bites. Baylor sucks. As it was in the beginning, is now, and evermore shall be. Amen.

oh it went both ways for sure. The old guy is the worst we have seen - he has been on our court before. He needs to retire - gets very snippy about how bad he is.

After the replay on the big screens and the crowd's reaction, the ref looked towards Larry and patted his chest as if to say "my bad that was a blown call" and Larry acknowledged with a thumbs up

I thought he said "That's what I saw"

He definitely mouthed something in addition to the gesture.

Was that the call the TV announcers commented on?

They were dumbfounded at the "slip somehow equals foul" call.

They were also dumbfounded at an offensive foul called against Kennedy down low when both players were just jockeying for position.

They took note of Tulsa's impressive flopping under the basket which led to 1-2 offensive foul calls.

Championship teams find a way to overcome those things. Last year I don't know that we would've been able to overcome the tough calls down the stretch that didn't go our way combined with the unreal shooting display by the Woodard kid. This team dug deep, shrugged it off, and put Tulsa to the sword.

One thing that should give all of us some concern moving into the NCAA tournament is our perimeter defense. Hopefully we don't have to run into another player that is shooting out of his mind.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Ands the blocking foul on Cannen when he fouled out.

The officiating was very inconsistent. The last two fouls called on Cannen were not fouls (the second was a charge) and in the last couple of minutes of the game a Tulsa player was driving, I believe Harrison, and he was aboviously fouled by Sterling but nothing was called. It was bad both ways but the calls on Cannen were terrible.
