There was certainly no home court bias in the officiating. That's good. We need to be ready to overcome some tough calls to prepare for the tournament.
Back off Warchild seriously.

The AAC needs to upgrade its MBB officiating across the board. Slips called as fouls that I could see wasn't a foul in the 12th row end zone seat is just plan incompetence. And it is embarrassing watching these refs (not just SMU games) as they make so many mistakes. To be taken seriously, the entire conference needs to up its game including the refs.

I'm sure that ref is out of a job today.

He was terrible and I do remember him screwing us over earlier in the year. Pink slip required.

Watching those refs almost made me miss Shorty Lawson.

As I posted during the game, the old ref fouled out in the first half. Unfortunately, it's 5 fouls per half for the zebras.

He's terrible. Many, many missed calls and really BAD calls. Both sides, but I saw a few more bad ones go against SMU (and, yes, I know I'm biased but still). Same guy has called terrible games. I hope he doesn't ref any of the tourney games.

I believe it's the same guy from the Memphis game. He was beyond terrible in that one. I almost ran down to the court to let him know. smusic stopped me.

That dude is probably a junior high vice principal and the only time in his life he gets to flex authority is on the court. So he probably had a chubby all day thinking about getting to stick it to a legend like LB.

Most of the year the uneven officiating has been in our favor, but I tend to agree that yesterday it went against us. Thankfully for everyone, quality play normally overrides officiating issues.

Exactly.

Most folks who actively seek to be in authority roles are control freaks. I never understood the desire, but whatever.

This man is by far the worst ref I have ever seen. He needs a vision test or something. He should never be allowed to officiate after this season.

If he had one more eye he would be a cyclops

The foul on mk when he was jockeying for position was valid. Looked like he elbowed/smacked the defender in the face

I think the complaint most have with that call isn't that Markus didn't commit a foul, but rather that he was repeatedly fouled prior to committing a foul himself. That was far from the most egregious call or no-call yesterday; you'll see something like that in just about every college basketball game.
