Time will prove it up - I am just saying keep an eye on him. I thought his in game moves were very good, and they had the only game plan that could have worked when they were out manned inside - cover Nic like a blanket and let them launch outside. Almost worked. Driving on us or trying to pass it inside on us would not have worked - that's what they tried last time.

He has not many advantages when recruiting to Tulsa - so if he can hang at the top of this conference for a few years - then he is doing something right.

If he's still at Tulsa, the 2016-2017 season will be very informative. The meat of this year's team will be graduating next year, so they should still be really solid in 2015-2016.

Tulsa will be solid next year. So will also Cincy and UConn. Memphis, I guess, too. Less parity next year in the AAC methinks. Don't sleep on us either. We probably won't be picked to repeat by most, but we will be better than most think we will especially if MK comes back. Tolbert is solid and we will have much better back court depth next year of course (added 2 solid ball handlers and shooters). (my opinions exclude KF and Foster -- as Foster is an unknown for me at this point -- so if those guys make a splash, if KF is back, even better). I think Semi could come on and be a stud for us eventually also (will take some time for him methinks in LB's system and he didn't play much at Duke).

Same could be said about the interim coach at Cincinnati against LB.

0-2 does not equal out coached no matter how you slice it.

Cincinnati interim coach was really the first person to implement the proper plan to give SMU a tough time in games by putting high defenseive pressure on Nic while pulling everyone else back into the paint area to help on our bigs. Haith did a good job in trying to duplicate that but dud not have as good of players as Cincinnati had imo.
