the general reaction of 'relief' as opposed to 'unbridled celebration' at the conclusion of yesterday's game? Glad there was no court storming of winning the regular season championship...save that for beating Kentucky. But the apprehension the last 3 minutes came right through the broadcast. Wonder if we are developing the Mustang version of what is called around here "Battered Aggie Syndrome" for all the last minute folds and chokes.

No chokes by the guys on the floor...Kennedy hit free throws, and Moore acted like the leader he has become. This team has learned how to FINISH other teams, and apply pressure to the throat at the appropriate moment. Hope the fans learn the same, after a few more lessons like yesterday.

Championship or no championship, you don't rush the floor when you win a game where you were favored by 8.5.

no one would ever rush the court over beating tulsa. has to be a worthy top tier highly ranked opponent. say top 5 and you are expected to get crushed.

If we beat Gonzaga next year, rush the court. Probably no other worthy games on the schedule.

I didn't experience relief because I expected us to win.

You could feel the tension in Moody when the game teetered back towards Tulsa. It's hard to overcome years of SMU grasping defeat from the jaws of victory. A couple years of success and finishing games like this will go a long way.

Didn't help that Markus and Nic fired the crowd up in the last minute as we went up by ~5, only for Kennedy to miss his free throw(s) and Woodard to nail a three at the other end. Could feel celebrations swing back to concern.

Everybody stepped up. Crowd got crazy, kids showed tremendous winning character and poise. Now, have to do it on the road.

My opinion is that our fans stormed the court because we had won the American not the
fact that we beat Tulsa. Some of you want to slam Tulsa, but the fact is - they are a good
team and were well prepared for us with an excellent game plan that they implemented
very well. Of course it didn't hurt that Woodard couldn't miss. It was a fun game and I
stayed around to watch the celebration. Thank you Mustangs! I hope we play better in
the tournament because we really haven't played up to our potential in the past two home
games. If we play well we could have a nice long run. Go Mustangs.

Did some of the people on here not actually see the game yesterday? Complaints about the crowd? People thinking we rushed the court? WTF.
