1:30 Game in Austin

Where is the PF watching party so I can avoid that place? If I'm
not standing and yelling during a commercial break I may get called out for being a soft fan.

There is a cool bar downtown that used to host some SMU events. Maybe that place?

This week is SXSW Interactive and Film, the Music part is still two weeks away. So watching the game at a bar won't be unusually difficult. Cover 3 is a fine choice. Also recommend Abel's on the Lake (Lake Austin Blvd next to Hula Hut) and Black Sheep Lodge on South Lamar. If I were stuck downtown, I'd watch at Easy Tiger.

Yes, it's at 11 AM Central Daylight Time on Friday. Cover 3 is a great place but what they call their "downtown" location is almost all the way to MoPac. Happily, you don't really need a sports bar to get ESPN at 11 AM Friday when the Big XII isn't playing their semis until that evening. If you want to be walkable from South By locations, the bar in the brand-new JW Marriott at Second and Congress will have the game. So will Fado, on Fourth one block west of Congress. And a million other places nearby.

Totally understand, just offering South By-adjacent options because of the volunteering aspect. Plus I'm stuck downtown and will be sneaking out at lunch to watch the second half!
