I don't mean this as a slam, honestly, but are you really asking that question? lol Cal seems like the kind of guy who would sell his children if it bought him another title.

I just think Turgeon, Self, and Cal would be a little more respectful of LB than the rest.

So let me get this straight. UNC can foster 20 years worth of impropriety, Syracuse ten years, and SMU greases the skids for one kid and we are the ones who are going to get a postseason ban and "slammed" by the NCAA?
Everything I've heard is that we expect to lose one scholarship and Ulric is out. I've heard nothing to contradict that.
Back off Warchild seriously.

First, SMU is still on probation from the Doherty era, so this is a repeat offender deal. That said, what you heard is generally what everyone has heard. What does that have to do w/what slimy coaches are saying to our kids?

Let's see. Stay and play for a hall of fame coach your last year where you are the man, unquestioned. Or gamble and go to a program where you will have to establish yourself within the team and learn to function in a different system with a different coach - in your last year. The highway is littered with kids who transferred and it didn't work out - Justin Martin comes to mind.......
He isn't going anywhere so quit being chicken littles............

I'm not saying he is going anywhere, I'm saying coaches are definitively in his ear. Beyond that, your first paragraph makes sense if you're a middle-aged white guy. If you're Nic Moore, you think you're the man and starting anywhere, no matter what. If you're being told that SMU can't go postseason in your last season and you want the tournament, that starts the thought process. We just need to show him it's not going to be that big a deal. I'm sure he'll figure it all out

Actions speak louder than words. If SMU and the AD were really concerned about major sanctions we'd see a lot more activity behind the scenes than what we've seen thus far (i.e. self-imposed sanctions, etc.). If we are truly going to get "slammed" by the NCAA then we would be scrambling. Not worried.

Again, who is saying to be worried about the NCAA? In terms of self-imposed sanctions, why do we think Ulric isn't around? This is about what coaches are saying to our players, with or w/o merit. It's an issue

Sorry hoop, yes you are saying it. You have been beating this drum for weeks. If he does have a decision to make, I am confident he will listen to the right people and make the right decision.

He's not going anywhere. Seriously. LB has a team coming back that has a shot at winning a national championship next season if we have Nic and MK. Why throw an opportunity to continue what you've done here for the past three years on the incredibly unlikely odds that we get a postseason ban? No way he's that stupid. LB and the staff have this under control.

That presumes that whichever school is whispering in his ear is willing to wait until July 1st. They can invent an arbitrary deadline that is before our hearing and say something like "we really want you, but we have to know by the end of April because we are afraid our backup options will dry up."
