Great award, justly deserved! I can definitely see why Fran got the coaching award...but I bet it was close with LB.

didn't LB get the award last year? Fran is deserving, you generally have a harder time winning COY if people think you have the best/most talent which I bet most coaches think SMU does. Also fran took a team that won like 10 games last year to a tourney team this year.

Sweet! Congrats!
(LB should have won COY with all the [deleted] he had to deal with, but whatever).

I guess I can see how Fran won it over LB. Temple has made a major turnaround from last season to this season and most of the media picked us to win The American this year anyways. I truly believe LB should have won it last season though.

Yeah. I think Frank Haith, Fran Dunphy, and Larry Brown all had an argument this year. I thought Larry got deserved it last year though.

I think the guy at UC should have gotten it. Their whole season could have easily tanked after Cronin went out, The Associate coach did a remarkable job pulling that team together.

Let's make sure he stays in the 214 so he can win it again next year!
