Just read the list of past winners...I could have sworn Damon Hancock was the WAC POY once.

I would have voted Frank Haith as Coach of the Year

Nic's speech was short and sweet, said award wasn't about him but his 14 teammates thanked family God and LB.

Too many bad losses. That is why their RPI is in the gutter. Same reason I believe LB didn't win it last year. We dropped too many games to bad opponents.

yeah but they were picked to finish 6th in preseason and were in it until the closing minutes of season. Those early losses with a new coach are not indicative of season-plus I believe he missed one of the bad losses due to the death of his sister or family member. Tulsa was definitely the overachieving surprise

Do you people realize how amazing this is? This kid is always the shortest guy on the floor and was picked as the BEST player on the floor! If you've ever played basketball, or even pick up ball, you know how effing amazing this is.

Oh, I couldn't agree more. I think he was by far the most surprising Coach in the AAC. The pace his team plays can only be taught.

Since Cronin is still the head coach, I don't think Larry Davis was eligible.
