There will be lots of UK fans who bought tix to all sessions with nothing better to do. Louisville is also a huge basketball town so locals will take off to come watch.

I missed the 2009 Hawaii Bowl, so there's no way I'm missing our first tourney appearance in two decades. It took some rearranging of schedules and some convincing of the fiancee, but she eventually capitulated. We'll be there - flying into Nashville Thursday morning and renting a car. Here's hoping that I'll have more convincing to do next weekend for a trip to Houston.

If we win like 2009 it will be even more fun than Rum Fire at the Sheraton I think. Cannot wait! Your fiancée is wise.

If any of you went and didn't do the all-you-can-drink mai tai sunset catamaran cruise that launches right from right in front of the Sheraton, you need to go back and do it every night.

Yeah, I'll be surprised if the first session is more than half full. The high seeds are from the southwest, none of the teams are really near Louisville to begin with. On top of that, none of the schools have a particularly large fan base that travels well. UK fans will be there because they have the strip trying to buy it cheaper, Saturday will get really pricey. And quite honestly, they just like watching any basketball, UK just happens to be the preferred brand.

Oh yeah, and on top of that, it's in the middle of the freaking day. Most SMU/UCLA alums I know have jobs so that doesn't help either.

Anyone trying to go to the second session while we are in Louisville? Might be fun to see our fellow AAC tourney team Cinci, as well as the impressive Kentucky team. Tickets aren't cheap though.
