East Texas Recruiting

Notwithstanding Garland and South Garland stealing wins from the deserving hands of 5A Longview & John Tyler, and HP putting it on Texas High (which is actually so very, very nice), 4A ball over here is still putting up some wins.

Which brings me to my point. Stallion, I have no clue if or where the recruiting services have Justin Smart or Kris Garcia on their radar, but they are both linebackers for Marshall (Bennett's old stomping grounds, and current redshirt Mario Walker's home school). They would definitely need redshirt to bulk up and mature, but golly oh molly are they the tandem.

Not sure what we need on defense, but these guys would be good picks, and I hear the normal stadium crowd scuttlebutt that SMU had a recruiter there in the press box. Saw a guy with the SMU cap on (besides me) head up there, so perhaps.... (Marshall played a coin flip home and home vs. Klein Oak, and my seats are 47 yard line, 8 rows up, saw I could see pretty much anything that went on).

Per rivals, Smart is listing Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

I can't find anything about Garcia.
