Basketball won't be an option forever, but you'll always have an SMU degree to fall back on.

I understand Markus will be 24 next year and might be considering making money while he still can (and I understand that), but he wouldn't sniff an NBA roster right now. He'd be stuck overseas for ten years making decent money with a quality of life that might suck (former Ole Miss star Marshall Henderson is playing in Iraq right now-- how fun does that sound?) With another offseason to improve his conditioning and refine his game under one of the best coaches of all time, Markus could really be a breakout star next year and make his way onto the end of an NBA roster. He reminds me a little of DeJuan Blair- stocky post player with not much of a vertical, but Blair has carved out a nice career for himself in the league (and Blair doesnt even have any ACLs!)

Disclaimer: take everything I say with a grain of salt, Markus- I just want you back here next year for a tournament run.

The only player on this team who has an even remote chance of signing a 12-day contract with an NBA team is Cannen Cunningham. He can run the floor, is agile, etc. for a big man.

Markus Kennedy has zero shot at the NBA. Same goes for everyone else on this team.

Just wanted to clear up those thoughts. Thanks.

Or a 10-day contract.

Way too soft around the rim. He would get abused in the post

1 My name is Dave I like long walks on the beach.

MK got better at free throws, except for the last game.

Maybe I dreamt it, but I believe that at some point this season Markus mentioned wanting to be back at SMU for his senior season.

I'm sure that Larry Brown will help Markus assess his options and Markus will choose the one that works best for him long-term

He did say that. Things change but that is the only fact we really know.

I think he's gone - school too much a pain in the [deleted] and kid could could make six figures playing the game he loves. My take.

But I'm part of the battered wife crowd.
