Temple the 4th worst shooting team in the country missed their final 20 3 point shots and lost by 3. Cummings who has hit 23% of his 3s on the year was 0-3 including 2 late. This happened to Temple repeatedly this season. If you got the personnel then the 3 point shot is nice-when you don't then there is no reason on earth to force it. Temple has a great PG. If Temple worked the ball around and shot 10% on those opportunities they win. If they shoot 40% they win going away. The 3 point shot in college basketball is overrated unless you have multiple guys that hit 38-48% or so of their threes. For 80% of college teams they are better served by taking only the uncontested 3 and instead move the ball around, drive to the basket and get the ball to your interior players-and get 3s the old fashioned way with a bucket and a foul
