Was at cg and a fight broke out in the restaurant, They called the next day to offer a comp meal for 4.

No fight second time. Enjoyed both visits but fight night was a bonus.

Original bob's, three forks, nick and sam's. And honestly when it come to food I'd rather eat a regular old Ruth's Chris or morton's. Al's is the same level of other standard high end steakhouses (like Ruth's Chris and morons). Again al's is not bad but not nearly as good as it's rep would have you believe.

Agree to disagree. I love Bobs and Nick & Sam's too, but I think Al's is right up there with the best of them in terms of steaks, but the rest of Al's food is better.

Quick version...

Late night cg crescent.

Man (large meathead/steroids) and lady dining at table. Man leaves to go bathroom. Passes 10 top w all women except 1 man (pressumablky the whimpy boss). We are having after dinner drinks observing the characters at both tables so we see it all go down.

On way back to his table and passing the 10 top, meathead and one of the women start screaming at each other. He grabs her by head and she starts hitting him. Whimpy boss gets up and runs around chirping call cops. The entire staff run out from kitchen, etc. It breaks quickly. Apparently nobody hurt. We get some comped drinks.

When we go to wait at vallet, cop cars and lights everywhere. Whimpy boss comes up and says can I have my Ferrari now.

Al's is all about service, and picking up divorced/unhappily married rich women/hookers at the bar.

Javier's is the most overrated joint in Dallas. Food is marginal, drinks are stout, and the a/c ventilation system is 30 years past needing to be upgraded. Owners have to just sit back and pinch themselves as the lemmings just keep on coming.............

Agree on Javier's- best atmosphere in Dallas, but the food is nothing special.
