I don't think SMU has ever hosted one of these things on our own, not that I have any idea what that actually would entail.

I believe all of the American Airlines Center events were hosted by the Big 12-2. I never remember C-USA hosting any but I may be mistaken.

And yes, I agree the combo UH/Rice thing last night was strange - but it was nice to see they didn't find a way to feed it to the Big 12-2.

Nope, SMU hosted.

Each site is "hosted" by a school or conference. In the case of the Houston site, Rice and UH are co-hosting. In the case of the Arlington Final Four, the Big 12 Conference was the host.

Hope this helps

Interesting. I didn't know schools could host, thought it was a conference thing.

You do know that the Carrier Dome is a giant arena that seats at least 35,000 people and that Louseville's arena probably seats close to 20K?

the entire lay out of Yum was just weird. Lots of things were counter intuitive.

Moody is too small......would be better off hosting a bi-district hs play-off game....

First round games were played at Moody for the 78'79 season. The place was about half full. Louisville was the main attraction. The next year the Super Pit at NTSU hosted, and then it went to Reunion for a year. I'm not sure why this area had first round games 3 years in a row.

Well he used to be angry because of what he saw in Moody-now he's angry because its too hard to find a good seat. Progress

I think pony fan is talking about the reunion tournament games in the 80s. SMU was host on at least one of those occasions

I can confirm that the Big 12 did not host any of those games in the 80s
