Another HS Asst Coach Impressed with Morris

Thought I would pass on some good news I heard yesterday. I live up in Allen and attend church in the area as well. One of the Allen HS Assistant Football Coaches is in my Adult Bible Fellowship Groups (Sunday School). As I got to class, he leaned over and asked if I still had my season tickets for SMU Football? As some might know on the board, I got rid of the 5 season tickets I had since 2000 and my Boulevard spot before the beginning of last year's season.. when I learned June was coming back after the 2013 season.

Keeping in mind this guy is a diehard Ohio State fan and he's never said anything positive about SMU to me in the past, he told me "You better get those tickets now.. in fact, I'm probably going to get some too." He mentioned how everyone at Allen is so incredibly impressed with Morris and that we've got something incredibly special with him.

The point of this post - we all have hope, but it sure feels good when you're approached outside the SMU bubble by someone at one of the top football schools in Texas.. and they recognize what we are seeing on the Hilltop.

Just wanted to pass along some firsthand impressions from an assistant with the Eagles. Go Mustangs!

Oh .. and yes, I'm getting my tickets back this year.

Thanks for sharing. That's really cool to hear indeed. I'm going to be very interested in seeing how the attendance numbers end up shaking out for the year. I'm sure there will be a bump just due to HCCM . . .
