My votes goes to "one more strike" but,

If I can only change one, it would not be the Yanick phantom goaltend.

I'd just have Nic hit either of the final two shots.

No, that game was fantastic. Perfect ending.

It's only fantastic if your team wins or you have no dog in the hunt. Brutal to be on the losing side.

On the bright side, Game 6 was the low point of my sports life and I doubt I'll ever feel that bad after a game again. The game in Louisville sucked, but it wasn't Game 6 bad.

Switching sides: the one play that made me happiest. Fourth down incomplete pass at/by TCU in overtime giving us one of our most fun wins! BTW, I was at the Holiday Bowl with that horrible one play to lose the game against BYU.

Best one play for me was the Bobby Leach kickoff return to beat Texas Tech in the last seconds of our "national championship" season, followed closely by the last defensive play against UTEP at Ford that clinched our first bowl game in several years.

I agree on the Leach return. My close second is Laettner's shot in OT: Duke 104, Kentucky 103.

back to worst play:
UT v. SMU, 1971, Cotton Bowl
Whorn qb Donnie Wigginton DID NOT score a TD on fourth down from inside SMU's 1.
He was stuffed - and I mean STUFFED. Texas "wins," 22-18.
My hatred for the Ornge began that day as a spry 15-year-old.

Easily the greatest play of a Lifetime for an SMU fan and its not even close was Bobby Leach's Miracle on 4th Street in 1982 against Texas Tech. It was a glorious moment-sadly no video has ever captured the mayhem and celebration on the field after Leach scored. You had to be there. I wasn't alive in 1935 though when Bob Finley threw his TD pass to Bobby Wilson to beat TCU. That would probably be a tough choice for Play of a Lifetime. Those 2 plays are the Greatest Plays in SMU History
