Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting ImplicationsI believe most schools allow full or partial tuition breaks for children of profs or coaches. I think I heard the other day that Arkansas children of coaches get in for 1/2 tuition.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implicationspretty sure tuition is free for SMU employees
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implicationswell, his dad would definitely be an employee. and a pretty well-paid one at that.

Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implications
Believe that it was just taken away after the "assessment" by Bain. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implications
Wrong. Still a benefit, but fewer people are now employed by SMU (a bunch are now employed by companies that SMU contracts with)
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implications
A lot of schools tier thwt benefit based on years of service, 5 years you can take classes for free, 10 your immediate family can take for free , 20 your whole family ect.
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implications
Mrydel, after researching this, you are correct. The question is what is the SEC's rule on this and would they grant an exception? (Given that it's a father/son and it's Bama, I'm inclined to believe they would)
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting ImplicationsBottom line: I don't think any of the dallas aTm bball kids leave even if Jr does.
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implications
Tend to agree with this. Much harder for them to leave than Jr
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implications(although I wouldn't be opposed to listening to interest from Hogg and Davis).
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting Implications
Capable coach....with a cartoon voice...
Re: Avery Johnson to Alabama Recruiting ImplicationsAvery did a reat job with the Mavs.
His message and delivery wear thin at the pro level, but I was always thinking his demeanor will be perfect in college game. This is a great hire for Bama. Beat the hell out of anybody!
