Why would anyone expect the Wallaces to push their talented football playing son to SMU when the head football coach is paying to send his own kid elsewhere?

As a mother, this really turned me off. I was planning on offering to full pay my grand kids' college tuition if they chose SMU. Now I'm reconsidering.

The difference is that HCCM had no ties before this year to SMU. The parents spent how many years of their early lives living and breathing the campus air? I would hope they at least suggested it to him but not pushed it on him. In the end it is still his life, but I can still be sadface as a football fan.

Morris is trying to build a program here and his actions speak louder than words. Not good enough for his kid, not good enough for mine. I'll try to push my grand kids to a good private university using monetary incentives but it's still their choice.

His daughter wants to be a veterinarian which we don't offer. Oh the humanity she wants to go to a different school

94 you know she should change her dream of being a vet because her dad is coach at Smu. Its the least she could do to help our football team.
