Yeah im thinking we need to rethink the whole "we wont recruit any other qb's". I think we need to stay on top of bowman sells as well, because david didn't sound for sure
I think he is solid. Sells had his chance and seems to want to go to a bigger school which is fine. Craddock told him not to take anymore visits and he said he would not. No, need to start recruiting another QB and make the situation shaky.
I hope so. Y'all probably know more info than me but it sounds like if ASU or A&M talk to him he is gonna bolt and I would hate for us to get left in the dust.
What an awesome recruit though great job by the staff and the school. I'm very excited
So do we not recruit other QBs and stay true to our word? Or do we still recruit other guys because Moore is still open to some other (albeit specific) schools? Seems like he rushed this commitment.

That is what I'm saying. Idk if I trust a 17 yr old kid (not that I'm a ton older) especially when day of he makes a weird comment like that. I guess you probably keep talking to kids on some backchannels and hope it all works out.

"I'm going to talk to [the SMU coaches] about it," Moore said about whether ASU or A&M eventually offer. "I'll talk to them and say, 'Hey, Arizona State was one of my dream schools, and it would be smart for me to do my due diligence; what do you think?' I don't know how they will respond.
"This is going to be really interesting."
He does his due diligence and we do ours.
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security
Keep in contact with Sells and other but keep up the relationship with Moore. Don;t do like JJ and stop communicating with the committed recruit. one you get a commitment from him. Remember, this staff has been recruiting him since thy were at Clemson and will keep building the relationship imo. This staff knows what they are doing unlike the previous staff. And Moore is starting to recruit now for SMU.

So that SB nation interview scares me. Kid pretty much said that he will still accept being recruited by other schools and that if one of his top choices offers he will seriously consider it. his interview screams of "I wanted to lock down my safety school, just in case my dream schools don't come through". If I was A&M I would offer the kid just to mess with SMU.

Don't really think a P5 school in the SEC would want to do something just to "mess" with SMU. They could care less about us. It's not like we are Alabama or something yet.

Except the kid is probably also a borderline SEC recruit. So at that point you get a) a kid who could turn into a player for you or at least give you solid depth b) you frustrate a hard working upstart coaching staff in your home state and c) please you alumni by sticking it to a school they hate. Don't really see a down side unless they are confident their other 24 commitments are much better than him.
I don't think they even care about us enough to hate us. Also Stallion makes a good point in another thread in that by this time most schools have offered their top QB's on their board. Any offer now would be putting him in as their backup plan. aTm has offered higher rated QB'x that they are going for in case you had not noticed. Yuo don;t settle for a 3 star kid until all your 4 and 5 star kids are off the board. ASU and aTm have 4 and 5 star kids that are not off their board.
Stallion wrote:the fact is that if these P5 schools are only offering now then David Moore probably wasn't in their Top 5. ALL major schools got their top QB offers out months ago-some a year ago. He's probably a little bit farther down their lists as fallbacks. Most Top QBs are already off the table 10 months from signing date
