Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMUIf you want a little laugh, go see Utah's commit list for 2016 and try to find kids that have USC, Oregon or Oregon St offers. Oh wait, aren't those other schools the kind that "can't compete with us"?

Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMU
He may have just drawn a conclusion based on conversations with Moore when he was asked not to take visits. Which is not necessarily making it up but drawing a conclusion based on the what information you have. Happens all the time in the media. #HammerDown
Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMUAll I am saying is what Ojai was saying in that we will likely see more of these situations as we go after better players with more offers than just from Sul Ross and SFA.

True. The writer Bud Elliot posted here this afternoon. Maybe he can clarify. I'd love to think you're right, Rebel. Just going by what I read.

No problem. #HammerDown
Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMUThe writer has been tracking Moore to get a glimpse of what a highly recruited (but perhaps not Gold Chip) QB recruit goes through in trying to weed out the right spot but at the same time not get left as the last man standing in a game of musical chairs. QBs get offered first and sometimes have to jump on board earlier than they might prefer. REASON: Most schools take 1 or at most 2 QBs. So this is a unique situation where a recruit is opening up about 10-15 schools or more to a writer. His openness to the writer I think is being misconstrued. The writer wrote a huge piece on Moore discussing specifically detailed strengths and weaknesses of each school he visited and was interested in. Again, some people probably shouldn't follow recruiting-it will just frustrate them until signing date. This is how Recruiting go. But ponyboys concern about SMU recruiting is noted

Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMUSeems like it has been ages we had the audacity to go after players like Moore and think we can get them. Kudos to CM and the entire staff for stepping up to the big boys. The process has begun to put us on the big stage.
Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMU
I thought you were beyond taking cheap shots that you know do not represent my opinion. I have no concern, I am just going with what the writer said was communicated to Moore. Glad to get the commit. Looks like a good player.
Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMUThanks for info stallion. Always followed college football but have had no real reason to follow recruiting until now. Sounds like we got a great recruit.
Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMU
And you have turned a "Great Day to be a Mustang" into a BEATING!!! We are on the cusp of knocking this Class out of the park and this was a key commitment especially since he is so connected. 3 commits-all 3 are 3 stars on at least 1 major recruiting service. We haven't been so well positioned to knock a Class out of the ball park in 3 decades Yet you suggest on another thread that SMU should not accept his commitment. Re: SB Nation Article on David Moore choosing SMUGreat article and recruiting recap. Great job by HCCM and team on a fantastic pickup. UH has its work cut out for them. "SMU's facilities are nice and being upgraded. In Moore's eyes, these resources are closer to A&M's than UH's were." Also, calling A&M "perfect" highlights the challenge that all schools but UT and to a lesser extent Baylor and TCU have with recruits. Saying that SMU's facilities are "close to A&M's" seems to say that the Ponies can beat out Baylor and TCU with early targeting and connection.

A+ tiki worshippers don't care about recruiting anyway.
