OL & DB, better start recruiting for NEED unless you're getting highly rated, multiple offer WR's and 'athletes'.

surprisingly good speed and agility based on several highlites. Kind of reminds me of Hayden Greenbauer's high school running videos. First guess is he might well end up at SS too-he also would be tough on a reverse or jet sweep bomb the way he throws a nice deep ball

No way after watching that film. Looks to be very underrecruited.

He's an athlete guys. Haha.
Army, Navy and Air Force offers. Interesting commit. I guess we're already spoiled. Total hunch, but I think he'll play safety.

That's what I thought too. Reminds me of Hayden Greenbauer from last year.

You can never have too many quarterbacks. QB is one of the hardest positions to project so it makes sense to sign at least one every year and sometimes two if a guy also projects well at a different position.
Heck, my other team has signed 3 4 star quarterbacks and 2 3 star quarterbacks in the last 3 classes and has a 5 star committed for the 2016 class - can never have too many talented quarterbacks competing for the job. The situation always works itself out in the end if you're signing enough talented players at the position even though it often means that you'll have one or two guys transfer.

You're aware we told Moore he was the only QB we are taking in this class, no?

I've followed recruiting long enough to know that kids get told a lot of things... The fact that Rock could project as a safety makes it possible to say "we're recruiting him as an athlete... not as a quarterback." Doesn't mean he won't get a look at quarterback once the ink is dry and both are on campus as freshmen.
Doesn't change the fact that you can never have too many guys that can play the quarterback position.

May have been an old site that listed that time (hopefully). It also said he's 5'11 169

Looks like Ronnie LaRue Jr? QB/safety/athlete (eventually committed to Northern Colorado)

6'0 183

Re: '16 QB Collin Rock Commits
If 6'0" 183 with a 4.89 40 were necessary to get a D1 scholarship, I would have had a chance back in the day. Though not sure my 40 time would have even been up to the 4.89 standard.

Did you take your team to the 6A Texas State Championship too-he doesn't run a 4.89 based on the video-actually has a great stride and nice running mechanics and form but it doesn't look like he ran track. Ran for over 1,100 yards last year
