No, I am not posting on a potential SMU Black jersey, but I am posting regarding our past foray into the black jersey fad. Available on eBay is a game worn Cole Beasley Armed Forces Bowl jersey for sale. Starting bid of $7.99. With all the controversey here on ponyfans about those jersey, which I still hate, I thought some of y'all would be interested in bidding on the thing. The seller has a bunch of dallas items including a number of SMU offerings (a Garrett Gilbert red jersey with no Name on Back). Bid it up. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SMU-Mustangs-Black-Football-Jersey-Armed-Forces-Bowl-Sz-Adult-XL-Cole-Beasley-/301624620639?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item463a3a765f

I hate to burst you or the sellers bubble but that is definitely not a game worn Jersey. Unless Beasley liked having his sleeves down around his wrists there is 0% chance this was game worn.

Plus, it's XL. That definitely looks like one of the replicas they sold (tried to sell) at the bookstore.

Those usually don't say SMU. And they've never been to the AFB. And I don't think think the Internet is accessible from Lubbock.

Got a response from the seller. It was not worn during a game. The wording is a bit confusing.

Yeah, we luck into a bowl game in our OWN stadium...we trot out in those horrendous black jerseys and then proceed to lose to Army. Felt like a big step back after out Hawaii Bowl win.

My bad - I did not read closely enough. I never would have thought someone would produce a replica jersey from the AFB. Interesting anyway.
