Former SMU 2016 commitment sets three visits

According to Rivals.com the Memphis native, who originally committed to SMU, will visit Kansas State, Kansas and Kentucky over the next seven days. Kansas State will host Vick this weekend, with Kansas doing so in the middle of next week and Kentucky next weekend.

When Vick committed to SMU he was expected to take a prep year, thus pushing him into the Class of 2016. But with his decision to reopen his recruitment, it was also reported that Vick is considering a move back into the 2015 class. That would make him an intriguing prospect for all three programs he’s scheduled to visit, as each could use another body in its perimeter rotation.

Kansas was quick to offer Vick, but Kentucky still has not. That has not stopped the folks at 247 Sports where their Crystal Ball voters have already decided that LaGerald Vick will go to Kentucky.

Yeah, he got the new test score or whatever to be able to reclass... literally went from SMU's biggest advocate and cheerleader to I am outta here, with not one look back! Was blindsided by this one. But if he wants to play this yr & if we don't have space...

I'm not as concerned about this as others are...yeah, he's getting looks from a lot of big programs now that he reclassified and they still have a spot open, but that doesn't mean they won't recruit over him next year if they have better options. We got two great guards in this class in Shake and Sed...

Much better player than Sed. Shake is a different type of player so hard to compare.
