Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5The oddsmakers at 5 Dimes offshore sportsbook are not exactly bullish on our prospects this season....you even have to lay extra vig if you bet the under:
AAC UCF: 7 (over -120, under -120) Cincinnati: 7.5 (over -130, under -110) UConn: 3 (over -125, under -115) East Carolina: 7 (over -120, under -120) Houston: 8.5 (over +105, under -145) Memphis: 8.5 (over -105, under -135) Navy: 7.5 (over -130, under -110) USF: 4 (over -105, under -135) SMU: 2.5 (over -110, under -130) Temple: 7 (over -130, under -110) Tulane: 5 (over -120, under -120) Tulsa: 5 (over -105, under -135) You can find the O/U win totals for all 128 FBS teams here: http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/25196379/dimes-releases-2015-college-football-win-totals
Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5If they win 3-4 I'll be happy. 2.5 seems about right with how bad we were last year.

Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5Maybe they figured that when the Austin Bowl did not make this year that we had nothing to play for...
Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5I'm a pretty big skeptic when it comes to SMU football but I'd take the over in a heartbeat. I think we will be favored in three games - UNT, JM and UConn. Then, I'd say two games will be a coin flip - Tulsa and Tulane. There's no doubt we have a LONG way to go talent wise but outside of TCU and Baylor, our schedule is not tough at all.

Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5Will there be a team in the AAC ranked in the top 25 when the final football rankings come out?

Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5It would be hard not to take the over on this one.

You think we will be favorites against UNT? I am not so sure about that. I understand that June gave up last year, but we may still be dogs at home in that one... "Moral Victories Make Me Sick" - TR

Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5They are a team from a weaker conference that won four games last year and we get them at home. I think a lot will depend on how we look against Baylor.

Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5It all depends on if we get decent QB play...and if our OL can give him any time. In the recent past, Garret Gilbert made us look good. I am a bit worried that everyone spent a season trashing Matt Davis now it seems that the consensus is that he's suddenly our man, no doubt.
Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5
If there is, it will probably be more of a function on defeating weaker AAC opponents than actually deserving it. That's why 6 wins is not impossible.
Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5
The ones that have a chance are Houston, Memphis, Cincy, and Temple. Yes temple, they're good and have had some really good classes recently. I'm not sure if any of them gets there and beats out Boise for the access bowl, but we'll have a couple teams getting votes at the very least. Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5Matt Davis in the June spread is a different threat them Matt Davis in chads hurry up offense. I would bet the house on 3 or more wins. I don't see 5 or more though.
Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5Ouch, stings to see that in writing. However, I would take the over.

Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.5Taking the over, BIG.
Re: Sportsbook sets SMU's O/U win total at 2.52015 - 4 wins
2016 - 7 or 8 wins 2017 - 9 plus wins and AAC Championship Back off Warchild seriously.
