25% alumni givingI'm sure many of you fine ponies have donated to SMU this year, but we are about 600 alumni short of reaching the 25% donor threshold that the university is dying to meet. Deadline of our fiscal year is Sunday so if you haven't given and can or know an alum that can please do! Helps very much with Rankings and such, and elevates us among peer institutions. Pony up!
Re: 25% alumni givingEven $20 puts you on the rolls and counts towards the goal. 25% would be phenomenal. I remember when the goal was 15-20% a handful of years ago. I recently gave my grad school $20 and they quit calling me. They want continued engagement and the % participation. Of course, total dollars are very nice too.

Back to the point. Any amount counts. Go online and do it - even 10 bucks. Ask someone you know who doesn't give to pony up!
Re: 25% alumni giving
Hmm, 600 alumni & $10 contribution counts... Sounds like the school should consider making a $6,000 investment.
25% alumni givingDonate 10 in the name of your former roommate that you know hasn't given yet.
Re: 25% alumni givingsays online we are 288 short
Re: 25% alumni givingHeard from someone on a reunion committee that they were over the 25% level and have been for several weeks.

Re: 25% alumni givingThey're gonna have a big problem with a lot of that young alumni in the coming years, since we're all still pissed at how they nickel and dimed us all the way through school. Not to mention telepony won't leave us the [deleted] alone.
Not a cent from me until Turner is in his SMU grave. BOP - Providing insensitivity training for a politically correct world since 1989.

Re: 25% alumni giving
I gave my $20, but I agree most young alumni I know aren't donating for similar reasons. I would be interested to see the break down by age group. A lot of my friends say almost the exact same thing when I talk to them about it BOP. I can't say I agree with them though.
