Re: DMN - No Respect
Can't argue that. But given Chad's success so far (night & day from tiki) and given that we selected Chad over Tom, it would have been nice for our local rag to select SMU over the Coogs. No surprise they didn't.
Re: DMN - No RespectI think both were the right fits for the programs they went to. Herman was the best fit for UH and Morris was the best for for SMU. I believe both will do well but Morris has a longer way to go because Herman has a better team to work with.

Re: DMN - No Respect
You say given Chad's success... what has Chad done that Tom hasn't? Win 2 high school titles as head coach? Does that mean more than winning a college title as OC? Winning a Broyles award? They've both had success. They both should have success in the future. But touting one's success and ignoring the other's is a poor argument.
Re: DMN - No RespectMy god it's the slow season.
Re: DMN - No RespectFlag this post and come back to it in December. If things turn out vastly better than expected for SMU, let's see if he has the guts to admit he was wrong.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
Re: DMN - No Respect
I've never said which one will be better. I don't know. Instead I've seen many Pony fans saying Chad will be better based on he's had more success (questionable), because SMU picked him over Tom (like SMU has a great history of picking head coaches), and because he's being paid more money (just like June vs Briles and Sumlin at UH). But if Chad does a better coaching job this season, I'll be glad to come back and say it.
Re: DMN - No Respect
That's great, and glad to hear - but I clearly should have been more specific - I hope the writer of the referenced DMN story should admit, in print, that he was wrong, if that should ever turn out to be the case. Unless you and he are perhaps the same person...? Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.
