The greatest story you'll see today began in the clever minds of the top brass at the TCU athletic department and evolved into the One True Champion of Super Regional ticket sales right on the TexAgs forums.
With the intent of preventing tickets to the Texas A&M-TCU Super Regional in Fort Worth from falling into the hands of those loud, mean ol' Aggies, TCU cooked up an idea. Even the on-the-berm GA seating, the seats not already given to TCU season-ticket holders and other alumni, would be protected and first released secretly to only the purple-clad. Complete home dominance would be assured - and with it, victory.
The Frogs wrapped this beautiful idea up in an impenetrable lock and key, a defense system to rival the greatest fortress. It was a covert operation for the ages. It was a word whispered in the shadows.
It was "TCU15".

Ffrom the piece:
The tickets sold out before Thursday's public release and the story was hilarious enough to earn a tip of the hat from Total Frat Move, which featured a TexAgs mention, some sweet glimpses of general saltiness from KillerFrogs users and a parting shot: "Just saying, but SMU wouldn’t make this kind of mistake." But the best reaction came from Twitter.

That happens a lot in hockey. I know the Captials, Lightning and other teams somehow block on-line orders paid by credit cards in certain zip codes. For example the Lightning blocked any zip codes in Northern Illinois from buying tickets to the Finals and forbid anyone from wearing a Blackhawks jersey in the premium seats next to the ice. So, not unprecedented. And to be honest, when the Caps play like the Rangers, where tickets are about 1/2 the price of NY tickets and Rangers tickets are passed down from generation to generation, its kind of a necessity. When they played Detroit in the finals there were more Red Wings jerseys than Caps at the Verizon Center. So, I can see the Frogs not wanting to be overwhelmed by a hostile Aggie crowd at home.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I would be ok w/ smu athletics making this mistake if it meant we had a baseball team and that team was hosting a super
SMU Class of 2014

That's pretty funny and way embarassing on the TCU AD's part.

Problem with the story is that it isn't true.

that is irrelevant. Its still funny. And the big splash on TFM is pretty funny also, especially the last line.

The TCU15 code was valid only for general admission berm seating and was tweeted out to from our AD to his followers. This story is just aggie being aggie.

1. Decide that you want to be the 299th Division 1 college that plays baseball
2. Raise enough money to start a baseball team
3. Become competitive
4. Then, you can criticize your rival for selling 311 super regional tickets to the opposing team out of 6,900 using a code for their season ticket holders.

Like in the EPL? And every other sports league outside of the 'free' US of A? It actually solves a lot of problems. Including ones we [deleted] about on this forum.
