Though the SMU crowd was small, I would not say that UofH packed them in. Their student section made our typical turnout almost look stellar. Still have major concerns about clock management though.

ALEX LIFESON and BrianTinBigD -

What was the gameday experience like outside and inside Robertson Stadium?

How would you rate UH parking/tailgating, Cougar fan enthusiasm and overall crowd noise?

Any interesting contemporary UH gameday traditions?

Thanks.

The crowd was listed at 14,600. I was on the sideline, and that was the loudest 14,600 I have ever heard! Others around me said the same thing, their fans should be applauded! It's a great place to watch a game, the stands are very close to the field. Grass is cut very low, for a fast track. The tailgating was fair, to spare.

How did you get on the sideline?

Wish I could have made it -- thanks for making the trip to represent Mustang Nation!

I made a very large donation to the Mustang Club.

You're a good man. Keep it up.

I'd call my MustangClub donation "moderate" (hey, you only can do what you can do), but I'd love to be on the sideline for a game. What a treat that must have been.

Gameday Experience at Robetson= SUCKS
I had to drive around the stadium 3 times to park, as everytime I triend to pull into the stadium some lazy attendant told me to go to the next entrance, I finally got in from an attendant I had already talked to twice. Tailgatin I think was a little below fair, and the uh...scenery left much to be desired from the UofH "women". Also with such a state of the art and well maintained stadium it is easy to see why we lose recruits to Houston. On the positive the grass did look well maintained, everything else in thestadium was pretty decrepit.

Tail Gate was pretty spare. Lot's of empty parking spots right next to the stadium. Of course they sell these spots through donations of up to $1000 for the season. Made the BLVD reserved spots like a huge bargain.

Stadium was of 1960's High School Quality. Somewhat lesser in quality than the TCU stadium but in the same class. Crappy concessions and insanely steep ramps.

Houston student section was pathetic. They made our lazy students look like a bunch of fanatics with an incredibly low turnout.

Place was loud and the main reason is a decent PA system that you could hear clearly in the parking lot before the game(Ford could use this nice feature).

Grass field was awesome and it held up well.

Not some place I would like to visit every other weekend in the fall but not nearly as bad as Rice Stadium.
