Corey Avery leaves KansasKicked off the team for the always-vague "violation of team rules," the former Carter High School star would have been the Jayhawks' top returning rusher and receiver.
Hard to guess without knowing why he was kicked off, but ... any interest? http://www.kansascity.com/sports/colleg ... 24944.html PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: Corey Avery leaves KansasAbsolutely interested depending on the circumstances of his dismissal.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Corey Avery leaves KansasAs their best returning player, you just have to know that it was something serious to get booted from KU.
Pony up!
Re: Corey Avery leaves KansasThe curse of Charlie Weis!!!!! Beaty should be able to make them respectable at some point, but wow the hole is deep.
.....and the genius is still getting paid by Kansas AND Notre Dame! ![]()
Re: Corey Avery leaves KansasIt still blows my mind that Kansas thought hiring Weis was a great idea.
Re: Corey Avery leaves KansasShouldn't be any interest unless the suspension from the team was not justified and possibly occurred just to free up a scholarship. No shortcuts to success.
Re: Corey Avery leaves Kansas
Why would it surprise you? They fired the only good coach they had because he was mean to players. Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: Corey Avery leaves Kansas
No jumpshot.
Re: Corey Avery leaves Kansas
I know I liked the Shawnbrey McNeal shortcut that June used to hide his garbage R&S offense. If the circumstances surrounding Avery's dismissal warrant a second chance then I'm all for it. If you went to spring ball you'd know that what we really lack right now is an explosive element on offense. We have some guys coming in that we think can do it (Castille, Proche, Thomas) but Avery is a guy who has been productive at a major college program. We'd be foolish not to entertain the idea of bringing him in. Back off Warchild seriously.
