Goose Creek (Memorial HS), Texas quarterback Myles Duke announced Monday on Twitter that he has committed to sign in 2016 with SMU.

Don't see him heavy enough to play star - aren't those guys usually 220-ish If this guy tops 200 he will be lucky. I'll bet safety.

No that's a misconception being spread around SMU boards-they don't even need to be that tall. see Hackett (measured at 6.0 for NFL) and Ibouye (5-11 or 6-0) at TCU who have played that position in the past. This kid is verified at 6-1 but has a 38 inch vertical too. They are more DB than LB. In fact, i'm not sure TCU has had a 220 DB starting for them in awhile from what I can see

Nowadays you need 5 DB's on the field to counter the spread attacks. I believe he's already listed right at 200 pounds. He's got ideal size for the star position.

He's 6-1 and 195. It's not unrealistic to think he could add 10 or 15 pounds before he hits campus.
