Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World Univer
Not sure who had a chance to watch the game, but Nic played well. Since they mentioned SMU ~10 times I wish they would say SMU and not "Southern Methodist". I've never seen a school that struggles with branding as much as SMU. Pony up!
Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World UniverI always hear we're supposed to be smu in the media, but I agree, it's more often than not southern methodist or s.methodist.

Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World UniverI watched the game last night. In terms of not being ready to play in the first quarter - those guys I am sure are adapting to being half way around the world in a totally different setting than they have every played in. International rules, foreign food, time zones, etc. I think they will just get better.
The good thing about Nic's game was that his shooting was the worst part - and I would certainly expect that part to get better. He played very hard, played good defense, was a good leader etc. It has got to be pretty hard for him to adjust since Mason and Selden are not too quick to pass and move the ball most of the time.
Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World UniverWe watched! He did great- def was warming up to the new surroundings and I agree on the "quick to pass" comment. BUT, cramp or not- it was real hard to see our boy down over there! Happy it was just a cramp and all is ok, but was hard to watch for a minute. It is awesome reading ALL the praise on twitter re: his skills and how thrilled KU fans are to have him. Thank God they can't keep him!!!!
Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World UniverThat was ugly. Mama said there'd be days like this.
Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World UniverNot a good game for Nic. Was that last foul on him called for the guy jumping on his back?
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World Univer
He had a good 2nd half. A lot of adjustments to be made. Pony up!
Re: ESPNU to Cover Kansas, USA National Team at World UniverI am sure mrydel was referring to the game today. Nic had an awful game. I hope it is just bizarre circumstances, but he got himself into all those situations where he was commiting fouls, and no one else got themselves in those situations.
