Cedar Hill (Texas) cornerback Eric Sutton's announcement in June that he plans to sign in 2016 to play at SMU meant two things: the new SMU coaching staff has continued to establish a foothold with some of the premier high school programs in the Dallas area, and the Mustangs will be getting a versatile player with an NFL pedigree and the ability to play as many as five roles on defense and special teams.
