HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"From his Twitter account:
"Chad Morris â€@coachchadmorris 19m19 minutes ago Boom...we just got better!!! It's a GR8 day to be a Mustang. Another Play maker on board!!! #PonyUpTempo #1SwingADay" According to the public domain sections of Rivals and Scout, it's Dae Williams, a 6' 200 lbs RB from Sapulpa, OK. Rivals rates a low 2 star and reports offers from NM, Army and Navy.
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"he's going to be a LB at SMU. He was a Camp Champ at LB at both OU and SMU. Both OU recruiting sites-Rivals and Scout- spotlighted him as one of the top performers at the OU camp as a LB and that was at an Elite OU camp-meaning invitations were given to only their best recruits. 2 star on Rivals and Scout but is a 3 star on 247.com which ranks him as 20th best player in Oklahoma. ESPN ranks him as 3 star and 11th best player in Oklahoma

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"here's a good recent article on him and discusses his physical development and the fact that he ran for over 1,064 yards on a terrible 1-9 team

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"This is the best player to come out of Sapaulpa in years.
Pony up!
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"he's run for about 2,000 yards as a RB as a Soph and Jr but I don't think he has the speed to play RB. SMU in the 4-2-5 is looking for more size at LB. The model is not necessarily the guy that can run sideline to sideline-rather you need bigger, stronger kids than can plug holes. Let the 5 DBs protect the flanks. Think Tank Carder who ran a 4.69 at NFL Draft combine. Heck didn't All-American Paul Dawson run about a 4.8 at the NFL Draft

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"I think the entire town of Sapulpa has congratulated him since he committed. He's supposed to be high character guy with a 3.6 GPA

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"Reminds me a little of Tank Reed who was also a RB in HS.
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"Welcome on-board Dae, can't wait to see you on the field. I like that this kid is already 6'2" 220 before his senior year...should be a stud linebacker for us.
#Beat Clemson
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"6'2"? He's 6'1" as per rivals. Scout lists him at 6ft 200.
whoopty doo another mediocre player. how bout we start getting some real talent instead of 'high potential, high character' kids
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"From the article I cited above and backed up by about 5 articles from OU and SMU recruiting sites I think its likely that in this case-those dimensions are outdated. There are 4 complimentary articles from OU Rivals, Scout and 247 recruiting sites alone about his performance at the Elite OU camp. Just about all mention physical development:
Jake Corbin, the Chieftain’s first-year coach, faced Sapula in a scrimmage last season as Broken Arrow’s offensive coordinator. But the Williams he saw then no longer exists. “The Dae that is now is not the Dae that was,†Corbin said. “He’s the most talented kid I’ve ever coached. I wouldn’t have said that a year ago. He’s matured physically, and he looks like a different creature now.†Williams now stands at 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. He pointed to that size and his versatility as his best traits. He’s so versatile, in fact, that SMU offered him as a linebacker Last edited by Stallion on Sat Jul 18, 2015 11:10 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"I am a little surprised that Tulsa didn't offer because Sapulpa is outside of Tulsa but again SMU was the first to ask him to play LB at their camp followed by OU-maybe Tulsa didn't consider him there. Note we probably knew about him through our DB Coach who came from Tulsa. Remember Sapulpa went 1-9 last year

Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"
The school to the west would disagree.
Re: HCCM Gets "Another Playmaker"Tech site also said they were recruiting him as a LB
